Our story
Read on to find out how Refill Collective came to life and what inspired us to establish a refill delivery service for busy, eco‑conscious households.
How it all began
I’m Becky, founder of Refill Collective.
Every Saturday, after my daughter's art class, we visit a refill shop located on the same street. It’s a treasure trove of sustainable goodness - cosmetics, cleaning supplies, coffee, dried fruits and nuts, and my children’s favourite: a scrumptious hot chocolate that’s far tastier than anything you’ll find in a plastic tub.
Support your local refill shop
Refill shops are warm, welcoming community hubs and the world would be a happier and more eco-friendly place if every high street had one.
But the reality is, smaller communities often don’t have the footfall to keep a refill shop afloat.
I live over three miles from my nearest refill shop and without the weekly art class, I wouldn’t be able to sustain my refill habit. That trip gives me a reason to go and the time to shop but this is a luxury which many people don't have.
Bringing refills to the people
I founded Refill Collective to make sustainable living easier for busy people or anyone who finds it difficult to travel to a refill shop.
I am passionate about reducing our reliance on single-use plastic, but I also deeply understand how busy our lives have become and the need for convenience.
That's why I created a simple solution: if you can't get to a refill shop, we'll bring the refills to you in our electric refill van!
Refill Collective is more than a delivery service
We’re a movement - one that empowers communities to collectively change their shopping habits and shape a better environmental legacy for future generations.
I would love for you to join me on this journey.
